3 days 3 nights and round trip ticked for Lollapalooza from washington state cost less than $950 (appx $80 of that was for shuttle to and from the airport, and $75 for one day car rental)

O'Hare is closer, but it's usually less expensive to fly to Midway, plus less hassles and delays than O'Hare. Probably an extra 30 minute drive from Midway than O'Hare I'm guessing. I used to have a customer in Wheeling.

After checking some pricing, it looks like it is cheaper now to fly to O'Hare, at least out of Burbank where I fly from. I saw a round trip ticket from Burbank to O'Hare for that weekend for $366, and to Midway for $380.
