This SHINDIG is a definate go folks!! Haley sang 4 songs at PS PUB tonight with Harry & Patti and the Graduate Angie was jivin' to the fabulous music of Traffic Jam! I timed it perfectly after kicking my poker buddies out of my house at 11 PM in time to make it over to the second set of their gig. I walked in and Haley was standing right next to me. She got there about a half hour earlier. She gave me a big hug and we talked (shouted) over the music about our plans for Labor Day weekend. She's game! Patti then walked in and stood right next to me and we chatted thru two of the songs. Harry announced again that Midnight will be backing up Haley Saturday night August 31st in Buffalo Grove. Haley sang "Hey Joe", a song she sang in Vegas (not one of the regulars but I forget the name),"Son of a Preacher Man", and probably the best version I've ever heard her sing of "HOTRS". After the set ended Haley & Patti came up and said that Sunday would probably be the best time for a party that they could attend. Haley will be busy with other commitments the rest of the time but Sunday looks open. Haley gave me a hug goodbye as I was mentioning Hawaii (she said "I'll be writing") and then Angie was standing there chatting away with me. They are a family that is never shy to give a hug. On my way out Haley was outside and she gave me a big wave and a super smile and said "Bye Steve" from across the parking lot. As I got in my car HOTRS was playing from my ipod in my car and I turned up the volume as I passed Haley & Patti. Silly me didn't think to bring my good video camera, I only had my cellphone for some photos of The Reinharts singing together which I'll download and post in the morning.
So bottom line: this Labor Day Party Weekend is a go for sure.

Do we have to buy tickets for the show?
No...It's not a ticket thing. It's a park in a remote lot, ride a shuttle bus to the festival dropoff point, walk past the games area and beer tent, bring a lawn chair if you like, but get there early if you want to be close to the main stage. After the show, ride the shuttle bus back to your car, or end up walking a mile or so.
