Why thank you for the kind words. Next step is to park it at the beach . I have always wanted to do this, that and meet the Hales. This could become a reality real soon

NUG, I think we are all excited and nervous about actually getting to talk and hopefully hanging out with Haley. We can all make fools of ourselves together.

When I saw Haley on NYE in the small club that her parents were playing in, I was so excited that she was actually there, that I think I knocked a few people down to get near her...hehe just kidding, but I think i did walk in front of the line of people waiting to get their picture with her. Then I asked this guy to take our picture and gave him my camera... I think he was a little mad at me. I felt guilty about that afterwards, but I was a little star struck i think. So this time I'm gonna be calm and cool.

If we keep getting storms with massive flooding like we have in April and just this morning - I think we may be playing water polo or have a fishing derby instead of Volleyball and croquet in the detention basin:

It was raining so hard yesterday morning. Half my block was under water. I had to drive to work in the middle of it, was so dark outside too. I think it rained over 4 inches in 3 hours. I feel very lucky that my basement didn't flood. Is this global warming or what??

Well I will have my Hot Tub bubbling in the screened porch and if Haley jumps in I bet we could see if a dozen of us fit in my 4 person tub.

Fortunately the flood waters receeded quickly (within 6 hours) and there was no damage to the grass or my artificial ballfield...and my illegal finished basement didn't flood as the sump pump kept up and now only kicks on every half hour or so.

I know this isn't the right place, but since the storms that hit the Chicago/Midwest area earlier this week and the heat wave hitting the Southwest now, there's a lot of potential for a lot of bad "juju" happening. For those of you in that heatwave, I hope there are no power outages, but, just in case, be prepared and use your electrical appliances (including the AC) judiciously.

For those of you in the Midwest, I could say don't mix water with electricity, but when torrential rains are simultaneously mixed with lightening storms (as energizing as those can be), well, that's not something that you can control, so the best that I can do is hope that you will all be safe.

One more note on the subject of being scared/acting stupid around Haley....I think the only thing I've done that is stupid/embarrassing was at the mall. I almost forgot to take the autographed picture she gave me and she had to remind me to grab it. You can see it in the video Himm2 made

This weekend in Vegas is going to be 118 degrees! It will be a new record for Las Vegas, and I get to live it!! Yay. (It could be worse, I suppose. I could live in Death Valley where it is expected to hit 130.)

I ended up clipping that video to capture an .mp3 off of it as one of the audios that play on the 8th hole of my minigolf course and thought it would preserve the original but it didn't...so I had to reassemble it in this edited youtube HL4E:

and talk about embarrassing, I was talking so fast I didn't even give Haley a chance to fully respond before repeatedly cutting her off...and on top of that when she offered a high-five my hand went into some weird contortion that she giggled about!.. a combination highfive/handshake/fistbump.
