RE: Halien Party - Chicago, Labor Day weekend, 8-31-13
I hope everyone here had a wonderful 4th of July!! Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I've been here, but on my phone which shows me as a guest. Have had lots of weddings (4), graduations (6), and family birthdays...but can't wait for our Haley get together.
H4, I hope you get to come to some of our Labor Day happenings. I'm not trying to get you in trouble, but if you tell your job right up front that you cant work over Labor Day, then they can plan it that way. Once, you're working there, you're the newbie, and may have slim pickings for days off.
At least that's how it works in my field (healthcare). Good luck with your new job.

And it's obviously too soon to request for a day off and I don't want to get in trouble.
I will try my best to come to at least one event that weekend and I will let you know when I get my schedule for that week. I really don't want to miss all the fun with Haley but right now my career is more important.
As an employer myself I would gladly grant you at least a half day off as it is for a very good reason. I think once they see what a good employee you are in the next couple weeks I wouldn't be shy at all about saying you need at least the evening of Aug. 31st and the late afternoon of September 1st off. You will probably meet new worker friends that would gladly fill in for you that time. The party should run from mid-morning until dinnertime or later if we decide not to make a field trip downtown in the evening.
...and something tells me that you would win the Hula-Hoop contest that Haley might be judging!!!!!

◦Start with the Rumble Tones Blues Band
◦Headliner - Wheeling's own Haley Reinhart, a TOP 3 contestant from AMERICAN IDOL!
•Sunday night features a local fav - AMERICAN ENGLISH!
We probably wanna consider going back to bgdays after the sunday party to see the Beatles tribute band "American English". I bet the Reinharts would want to be there.
Anybody besides Tusk & I interested in going to the Friday Afternoon 8/30 game vs. the Phillies at Wrigley Field? It saddens me greatly to say that the Cubs are a more exciting ballclub than my White Sox these days. My Sox suck. There are 3,750 tickets available on Stubhub, many for around 20 bucks:

A little 'Haley' trivia ...
