Yes I did H4. It was like the meet and greets with Haley. Everyone stood in a line and waited their turn. Casey took his time, and talked with everyone, and took pictures with them. He was friendly and very nice to everyone. It was unfortunate that because of the weather , there was only about 40 people there. But he put on a great show, and I really enjoyed it.
I was kind of worried about driving through the snow to see him. I kept thinking this is nuts, but I had a feeling the expressways wouldn't be that bad. When I left my house, the snow was falling and the weathermen were predicting 8-10 inches of snow.
But most of it was north of the city, and we were driving south. The roads were wet but no real snow accumulation on them. So glad I went!
I bought a curly smiley face "Casey" t shirt for my son. ( No, I'm not gonna save it like my Haley ones
).
But Casey is Jazzy like Haley, and I just love listening to those songs. Putting the jazz inflections (is that how you say it) in songs. He also likes his Beatles too. So, if Haley ain't playing around here, Im gonna enjoy me some Casey with the bassy.
I told him I thought I was 5th in tips for stageit, but never heard from them. I didn't want to put him on the spot and he wasn't sure how many prizes were given out. that's ok. And my son asked him about Jack Black. He said "He is the coooolest guy ever"!!
Kind of an interesting tidbit, Taylor (his bass player) said he lives in Colorado. His roommate had auditioned for the band,(in LA) for Casey, and was hired. They then came to Colorado where Casey heard Taylor play, and hired him too. (I think I got the story right). He still lives in Colorado, and joins Casey for gigs as they happen., kind of like Keith in Florida for Haley.
