He's a choreographer/dancer....wonder if he choreographed their "Tightrope" performance?

This is just the beginning of JaQuel’s journey and he is not looking to stop anytime soon.

Maybe folks saw this today, but “The Voice” is having a summer tour this year ( Link) and is including the top three finishers from this year plus fan favorites from previous years. I wonder if American Idol might consider that approach for future tours (not this year as they have already announced the Top 11 are on tour). In future years, perhaps have the top 8 go on tour but then have Idol alumni appear during the tour, maybe some Idols don’t do the whole tour, but perhaps do selected cities.
I think it would be great, giving the new Idols tour a needed boost from the fan favorite appearances, and the older Idols would again enjoy the trappings of a major Idol tour and hopefully boost their own careers a bit. Obviously, Kelly, Carrie, Adam, Scotty, Phillip, etc may not want to participate, but for someone like Haley or some of the runner ups from other years, might be fun to do the Idol thing again. (I know some will say Haley and the other Idols want to put AI in the rear view mirror, as their career moves on, but I think many would welcome the opportunity.)

...Scotty McCreery opens up the Grandstand on Thursday, Aug. 7 — I used to be a big fan of American Idol and McCreery was the winner of the 10th season, which happens to be the last season that I really watched. He was a superior choice over runner up Lauren Alaina, but No. 3 Haley Reinhart really should have ended up on top. No. 6 Casey Abrams led the rest of the pack in my mind, but a significant portion of the top 10 would have been ultimately preferable to either of the finalists.
