I just realized in the video footage from Haley's performance of "Fallin'" on Idol that the clip they show of her audition is her singing "Fallin'" and not Oh! Darling. I knew she auditioned with Fallin' originally, but I never realized they played a clip of it because they only showed her second song on tv. I think it's a weird choice that they played a clip of her auditioning with a song that the audience never saw her singing... up to that point.

It is strange - but I guess they string all types of clips together on that show.

Yea, they don't expect a majority of people to watch that closely. Stuff like that happens all the time. (The Voice actually stuck footage of a previous season into a preview during one of their seasons..). And most people don't mention that stuff..

But once again, it makes it weird that Randy criticized her for her song choice when she sang a song she auditioned with..

Known as a nudu, or Bamileke beanie, it’s been a staple of Gibbons’ wardrobe for several years now — ever since (2008 when) he gave his Stetson 10-gallon to the leader of the Bamileke tribe in Cameroon during a break while on tour with ZZ Top.

Well, actually, it was more like a trade. Gibbons only handed over his cowboy hat after requesting one of the group’s distinctive hats in return from the chief.

“He came straight up to me and said, ‘I like the hat,'” Gibbons told the London Telegraph, back in 2008. “I said, ‘now, wait a minute.’ I said, ‘Chief, I’m from Texas. We do a little horse trading over these matters.'”

They go for like $250+ on eBay.
