^My feelings are definitely mixed on this one. While it is always cool hearing Haley doing new material, I can't say I'm thrilled hearing her doing this generic dance mix stuff (I toned down the word I wanted to use). Of course, I don't know the story behind this song and it may well be that Haley did a favor for someone and simply laid down some vocal tracks for his project. That would be all well and good. This track is just so... Ree Ree sounding. Bleh.

You can download the whole track for free and after a few listens...well, it is different! I am also not a big fan of house/techno music, but I think Haley should feel free to experiment and try different things with different artists. Why not?

I doubt this is a new "direction" for her given her recent talk of a bluesier/rock sound for next CD. She is pushing the envelope, exploring, experimenting with her voice, her sound, so I say more power to her.

And, after a few listens, the song is kinda catchy, and Haley's vocals are so silky smooth sultry--"Hypnotic"... Although, the song title says Remix, so I wonder if there is an original "Hypnotic".... ?

To be clear, Haley's said it's not her "sound" and is not a direction for her album. (But clearly spreading her wings as a songwriter).

Nonetheless, Hypnotic may get released, in some form, as a "ft. Haley Reinhart" in Europe.

I'm glad to see that Haley is writing material not only for herself but for other artists as well. The more writing credits and experience she gets, the better. I'm also glad Hypnotic was never intended for one of her albums, the vocals sound great, but the song style is definitely not Haley, too techno-pop.
