It seems that the Jingle Punks crew will be involved in promoting music from Haley's EP. ICYMI ole' purchased Jingle Punks recently

I certainly don't grasp the whole model these guys are implementing, but the emphasis by Ole/JP on placing music adds a twist. Don't know about the EP, per se, but will songs increasingly be promoted when they are "placement friendly" as opposed to, say, "radio friendly"?

The Jingle Player

The Jingle Player database also distinguishes itself with suggested and similar song recommendations, based around tags and pop culture terms that you wouldn't necessarily find on a consumer music app. For example, the tag "U2" doesn't produce a listing of songs by the famous band, but instead results in a listing of songs with a similar feel. It's a search result that would be disappointing in iTunes, but is considered a feature for the type of professional user using Jingle Player.

I think the key to their strategy is income stream more than ears on the music. It'd be great if music from Haley's EP reaches radio air play, but I'm not too sure Ole's strategy hinges on that (radio), rather distribution through what their strengths are, which includes strategic placement, muzak, commercials and maybe even in a movie or TV show...

I'm encouraged that BMI is in the picture some way. Some on Twitter had posited that Haley's absence from BMI events, when she used to be at them, might be an indication of competitive tension between them and Ole.

Their attendance in this viewing event, may have nothing to do with Haley's EP, but if there was some kind of strategy to get radio air play, it wouldn't hurt to include BMI for input or distribution opportunities

I think Jingle Punks mostly provides background tracks that can be used in commercials, videos, etc. In addition to offering genres of instrumental music, they probably also mimic better known tracks (cheaper than licensing the original music) that someone might want. And, of course, a "jingle" is traditionally considered a brief song with an advertising message designed to be easily remembered.

It's conceivable Ole might have rolled the licensing of original music by their artists for commercials into what Jingle Punks does. But they handled it within the old organization before.

The June 2015 Listening Session was our biggest ever, with our new Jingle Punks office in New York joining in with Toronto, Nashville, and Los Angeles for the live streaming presentation that included a live performance by New Warner Music Canada artist and ole/Jackoby Music songwriter Meghan Patrick, the premier of the Haley Reinhart new song “Better,” as well as highlight video reel that displays significant milestones and sync licensing placements such as the Chase Bank commercial using Reinhart’s “Show Me Your Moves” and “Go In Peace” from songwriter Liz Rose’s catalog used on The Vampire Diaries. The video also showcased recent acquisitions and signings like the Mark-Cain catalog, Jordan Davis, and April Geesbright.

The ole “Blast Into Summer Party” followed in Toronto, held on the picturesque outdoor patio of the Deq Terrace and Lounge at Toronto’s Ritz Carlton Hotel, a stone’s throw from the ole offices and the site of many post-Listening Session soirées.

“ole’s quarterly Listening Session brings our community together and reminds us that songs and music are the foundation of everything we are,” said Robert Ott, CEO & Chairman of ole. “Once again it was a tour de force musical journey and forum to interact with our songwriters, artists and business associates.”

Is there gonna be a single? And if so one would assume that it comes out about a month or so before the EP drops.

It's an EP, so I doubt it, but why only mention the premier of one song? Just an observation.
