If Haley was looking for a song to cover w/ PMJ that had the best chance of passing up "Creep", I think she found it. Seven Nation Army is probably THE biggest rock song of the 2000's & as such it's been covered by ALOT of artists. I don't think I've heard anyone change up the arrangement as much as PMJ did though, & I think that along w/ Haley's vocal will get them a ton of views.
Here's a few more artists covering 7NationArmy I didn't see on the thread.
Kelly Clarkson This girl has an awesome voice, she should audition for Idol! Seriously tho, I wish Kelly sang rock more often cause she's obviously pretty great at it.

Zella Day - (Really good acoustic cover) Incedently she has a song called "Hypnotic" w/ over 2 million views. I don't think it's the one Haley wrote but IDK for sure.

I just listened to the White Stripes version again. One thing that strikes me in comparison... Jack White glides right over the "I'm bleeding..." sequence. Haley brings out the power of the line with what I think of as a gospel interpretation.

Miguel, it's interesting you mentioned that line specifically, because that's always been my favorite line in Melanie Martinez's cover. I love how she sings the line "I'm going to Wichita" in this really cutesy style & "Right before the lord" just a few lines later, in a much more ominous style.
Because 7 Nation Army has been covered by so many artists, I think it's probably safe to say that Haley & PMJ are drawing on more than just the original for inspiration.

...and with it came with a datecard for "Thoroughly Postmodern Millie" 25, the girl on the album jacket if you love pets, president Wilson and bobbed hair.
Anybody that was complaining about Haley's enunciation should listen to her "7 Nation Army" because I find the lyrics more clear on her version than any of the other artist's covers of this song.

I really like snippet of the cover, very well done. I can't wait to download tonight and listen to the full song. How nice of Khemari to give us a heads up - love to hear from all fans near and a far  ... This is just so cool - she is really building her career now and building up steam for the release of her album. I am having such fun watching it all unfold the last few months....

I really, really love this remake - the scatting, growls, emotion and originality!! I continue to be amazed how Haley keeps exceeding expectations. Again Scott also did a great job - I especially love the piano and horns.... recruiting new Jazz fans one song at a time...
It can't wait for the video!
