RE: Music Videos
Lovinda, you've done it yet again! Crystal Blue Persuasion -- oh, how I loved that song, in its day. I didn't know (nor do I care now) what the lyrics were about. To me, it had a good melody, wonderful -- make that gorgeous ("made me melt") harmonies, and a rhythm that made it all work.
It wasn't until listening to the clips you pointed us to that I was aware of how "crisply" Thommy James and his Shondelles enunciated his/their consonants. (Vowel enunciation wasn't on the same plane -- I'll deal, although I won't say it will be easy.)

Tommy James was such a big part of the soundtrack of the late 60s. Thanks for the backgrounder LovingDa. I was impressed by the 1996 live version --I went and listened to a couple of others from that show too. Nice recordings.

RE: Music Videos
^^^^^^^^^^ All of the comments and videos - Nice! I'm so glad that I visited this thread before bed. I'm really enjoying the camaraderie of music appreciation with y'all.
Thanks a zillion everyone- Tonight’s visit to this thread has truly turned out to be a rewarding peregrination: - A good time from following Cherelann's suggestions for watching the two documentaries, “Joni Mitchell: Woman of Heart and Mind” and, "Carole King and James Taylor: The Rise of the Singer-Songwriter".
- Enjoyment of shared homage to Freddy and the Queen courtesy of Dr. J and the Bluesman.
- Comfort and encouragement from yet another delightful "twins in another dimension" experience with MAE.
- Nostalgic pleasures from being taken back to the Junior High Roller Rink days with, "I Only Have Eyes For You" by The Flamingos.
Jackson Browne - Tender Is The Night
