RE: Music Videos
Last night I finished reading The Road to Woodstock (my first ebook), written by the driving force behind the festival, Michael Lang. He was 24 at the time. <-- Haley's age now
They had booked big-name acts through various people. Late in the game, one of the power players insisted they also book Santana and another act. He listened to recordings of both and said "We'll take Santana."
Santana was relatively unknown then, especially on the East Coast.
They were paid $1,500 to appear.
While they waited all day to go on, Carlos Santana decided to do some mescaline. Just as he was peaking, they were ordered to get on stage or forget about appearing at all.
There were four partners in Woodstock Ventures. One, John Roberts, came from a wealthy family and fronted all the money. He took a big loss and the partnership immediately fractured after the show. Selling the rights to the film helped pay off his debt.

John, thanks for posting this video (no comment on Freddie's mustache). I listened to a lot of this group's material earlier in the year, and was absolutely sure I was going to love them. They have a cool vibe, very capable lead vocalist, nice band and backup vocals, occasional horns -- and the ladies are hot.
But, the band seems to be all about Rachael Price, and while there is much to like about her, I just really didn't love her. I waded through a lot of songs that seemed like variations on a theme, with an occasional gem that made me want to keep looking:
Ms Price did record an album of standards in 2008 The Good Hour where she is very polished, and offers a nice rendition of I Only Have Eyes for You. I feel like I ought to include a link to her song, but just can't bring myself to when the same click could take me back to where this song belongs:

RE: Music Videos
Lake Street Dive is largely about Rachael Price, but that's okay IMO. The others are talented musicians.
There is a thread started in 2014.

Just learned about them here:

Sir Buzz should appreciate the local connection:

And here's some tunes:
Jackson 5's I Want You Back
Rich Girl:
Some original material
Just realized that I have been hearing the lead singer, Rachel Price, played on a local jazz station
You Go to my Head:
Ironically, with the above tune and her recording of A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square, she and HCJ have some similar tastes. I prefer Rachel's versions to Harry's.
