IDYLLWILD: 'Idol' alum Casey Abrams to release debut

"Idyllwild’s own “American Idol,” Casey Abrams, has announced the release of his debut album.

The bearded jazzy multi-instrumentalist, who won hearts with his music as well as his sense of humor on season 10 of “American Idol,” will release the self-titled album on June 26 through concord Music Group.

...One of the executive producers on the disc was “Idol” judge Randy Jackson.

...One of the other songs on the album is a cover of Ray Charles’ “Hit The Road Jack,” with Abrams’ “Idol” gal pal, Haley Reinhart."

Hit the Road Jack should be a fun tune with Haley. It will be interesting to see how they do it. I can hear Haley doing that line "Don't care if you do..." at 1:20.

I see they bumped the release date back a week. So it goes.

Randy. Glad to see he supports Casey.
