Thanks, but with Halien activity diving and no real Halien interface online any longer, gaining and communicating w/ new fans is about the only reason to continue doing what I do. It's a nice reminder of what it was like discovering Haley....
I do like that Michael also commented his enjoyment of Haley's originals as well as her covers

I can’t speak for other Haliens, but my interest has not waned at all. I have never been a prolific poster because I don’t usually post unless I feel I have something unique or of value to provide. But I can tell you that I check this site every day still with the same amount of interest in Haley as always. I appreciate your continued work on this site and I feel quite optimistic that Haley‘s career is slowly making progress in some significant ways.
I’ve noticed that no one has mentioned that Haley will be doing another concert with Michael Feinstein in February, which indicates to me a very positive move towards a relationship with a very important person in the industry. There also has been a recent release of a performance of Piece of my Heart with Robby Krieger and friends that in my opinion is far and away the best she has ever performed this song. Being an old timer, I had the privilege of seeing Janis Joplin live many times, and this is the first time I have ever seen a performance of this song, since Janis, that comes close to capturing her essence.

I just learned the other day that Aretha Franklin's older sister, Erma, recorded "Piece of My Heart" before Janis Joplin.

Erma Franklin’s version I believe is the original, and it was a hit. Interesting that I’ve never heard anyone sat that Janis’ version is “not bad for a cover.”
