The One We Can't Stop Rooting For: Resident growler Haley Reinhart will release her debut single March 1 through Interscope Records. Details are scarce, but we've heard through the grapevine that the song is really good and awesomely old-school.

Jim Cantiello, from MTV, was a Haley supporter during last season. He had a web TV show during Season10. His was a somewhat apologetic fandom for Haley while always having some other commentator on the show who hated her.

He was more like Michael Slezak lite...and it was hard to watch at times, even though he was another writer/blogger giving Haley props.

I've got some Norah in my Favorites at YT and it has occurred to me more than once that Haley could slay some of her songs. Norah is a class act and does a lot of covers, which is fine with me.

John, thanks for sharing these tunes. You're right -- these would be a good fit for Haley. Hopefully, someday she'll give some of them a whirl!

I really appreciated the eye contact between her and her guitarist in "Don't Know Why" -- shows that they're connecting to be able to adapt to or maybe even anticipate, any playful change the other might make - signs of true and skilled musicians.
