I agree with Tusk, we have so many great videos that have been posted by himself and Team HF and others, over 140 is amazing! It sure has been fun being on this Haley Journey. All of her dedicated fans, especially here on this site, have helped to maintain and fuel the interest in Haley and garner new fans. I feel that great things will be happening in Haley's very near future, and I can't wait! Hopefully, she's able to start playing in more venues, so others can "discover" what we already know. Between all the videos and this great site, it's good to see that Haley does have a pretty strong web presence. I also remember her mentioning that she had acquired the rights to her previous web domain, and I also agree that a nice professional webpage would be much more beneficial than one that is not. I hope she can find someone (soon please) that can help her out with that.

Regardless of what Haley does or doesn't do, with all the videos Team Haley has put together it might be worth having a topic area on HF dedicated to those videos. Posting in that forum could be restricted (or maybe there is another way to do it) so that it is just a location where links to all of the videos are available in an organized fashion. No comment posts or random postings. Perhaps it could be highlighted so that people could be directed here or it would just stand out as a place to access videos. I could see it done by events, with a little introduction to give context to that set of videos.

Not all of my 150 Uploads are Haley performances, some are repeats (due to reworking or audio improvement) and 'private' posts like Haley accepting gifts from Pat and me, or her meeting Swan or videos of radio/TV broadcasts, Like Caley's "Moanin'" at the AI Finale. (Some of the Stageit performances are done 3 times, most of them twice.) So the actual number of performance videos, including videos of the same performance from different perspectives (BGDays, Better has videos from 4 different angles), so the actual number of performances are probably around 80 - 90.

I have more video from Haley's second go round in Vegas. I chose not to post them all because there were other Haliens who also posted vids, I didn't want to flood with what I had, let other's get the views. Midnight's and Pat's were better, especially the audio. I also felt the performances were being cheapened because we could see so many similar/same type performances and we already had performances of the same songs from her first time in Vegas. Plus the audio, inside the Cosmopolitan, was not the best either. So I left them out.

I also did not post all My Lollapalooza and Hard Rock Cafe, LU Debut vids (Higher resolution) either, just the ones I liked, also I figured out how to fix the glitch in Spiderweb, where my camera split the song in half. In the original post which Miguel posted on his youtube, my first attempt, you can hear the audio overlap, echo, near the split.

Mag Mile Lights Festival 11/19/2011

I just noticed that this Mag Mile composite says "Video blocked in some countries" but the 3 individual songs I shot have no copyright questions. Odd, maybe because in the full one I mention the parade was also shown on ABC7 and Youtube might have thought I used ABC's video instead of my own which wasn't the case. Is it viewable to you guys?

I've uploaded about 300 videos over the years, deleted about 20, and maybe only 120 are Haley Reinhart related.

I think in many ways, a 'simple storefront' as opposed to an efficient promotional site, might be more detrimental to an artist's brand, such as Haley's, than a help. Haley is in that limbo of limited resources but has media name recognition. There is an expectation, a certain level of professionalism that might be trivialized by being represented by a 'simple storefront'.

As helpful as we might like to think it would be, a poorly executed website, perhaps frought with virus traps, would be much worse than no website at all. If you want it done right, you probably have to pay for it and work with people whose expertise is in building a professional website. That means paying for it, which we don't know Haley can put resources to, yet. Especially if there's no new activity to speak of at the moment.

Tusk—thanks for your response on my questions about Haley and her web site. I see your point—a half-baked web site might be worse than no web site, and she still has a ton of Internet content on YouTube, this site, and Idolforums, and she participates in Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. From your comments, I thought maybe someone offered Haley a full package of web services, similar to setting up Pia’s site, and not just a URL.

Just for the heck of it, I searched all 12 third place contestants on American Idol to see what type of web site they had. Of the 12, four (Haley, Joshua Ledet, Syesha Mercado and Nikki McKibben) have no web site presence, two (Angie Miller and Jasmine Thias) have a simple site, and the rest (Danny Gokey, Casey James, Kimberly Locke, Vonzell Solomon, Elliot Yasmin and Melinda Doolittle) have what I would say are professional sites. Just in general, perhaps it just takes time to put together the resources and effort to get good sites up as of the last three contestants, only Angie has a web site. Of all the sites, I really liked the Casey James site best for its ease of use and clear format –although it appears he may be upgrading his site this year.

One thing—I agree that Haleyfans.com is THE source for all things Haley and even her own site could not keep up with all the links to videos, comments, updates, etc on this site. A wishlist item: I think it would be great if this site would come up higher in a Google Search for “Haley Reinhart”. Right now, this site appears on my view on Page 3. I know that it costs $$$ to move up content on Google to the top or on the right side panel—and that is how Google makes money. But it is a shame that more people do not discover this site, especially Haley fans looking for the latest news. But, a lot of people do know of this site and contribute, and thanks Miguel for all you do to make this site great.

If you have instant results on, the Google default, it only shows 10 results per page. You can adjust it to where it shows up to 100 per page.

I just searched for "Haley Reinhart" in quotes and HaleyFans was listed on the third page at #22.

But after all of this pessimistic meandering, I will leave you with this: Haley is just 23. She is still so very young and so talented that you feel like something is bound to happen. I agree with Himm2 that this is just a lull for now, and she does have the fire and desire to make something happen. As she said, there is no Plan B. I don’t even care about hit songs on the radio, I just want her to keep making music and go out on the road and build a long lasting and loyal fan base. I would love to see Haley tour and give us the level of performance she did on AI. That hasn't happened and it may not be what Haley wants. Under the pressure of AI she performed as a singer and actress. She became the character she had to on stage to give a star performance. She took on the personality that fit for the particular song. It worked. As JLo said "Look what you're capable of!"

Since AI she has performed as Haley, enjoying herself, giving enjoyable performances in a relaxed casual fashion. That's not what it takes to generate a buzz and gather large numbers of new fans but it's her choice and that's important. Being happy is most important and she seems happy with her work. She should be able to make a living doing what she is doing now without ever touring.

If she does decide to tour there is two ways to do it. One is hire musicians and that is obviously expensive. The other way is to form a band with partners. Dividing up the profits from each show in some ratio. There are no shortage of musicians that would love to be in Haley's band. Either way it's a tough job and not for everyone.

She definitely has options. Touring is not her choice at this time. There is money to be made in touring. AI alumni are regularly doing shows in my town. Kriis Allen, who doesn't get much radio play, is performing locally at a place the has a typical cover charge of $0 to $15. He's getting $25 to $65. Name recognition gives an artist the ability to make a living touring if that's what they enjoy.
